Questions and Answers About Body Mechaniques
You have questions. We have answers. Take a few moments now to
get answers to some our most frequently asked questions about how
you can benefit from adding in-house PT and OT services to your
practice.
Q. How much revenue can I really expect to add to my practice
by adding Body Mechaniques' onsite physical and occupational therapy
services to my mix of care?
A. It is not uncommon for the practices
we work with to add $150,000 or more in new, net revenue. However,
the amount your practice can make depends greatly on how many patients
you typically refer for physical therapy or rehabilitative care.
Request a no-obligation practice
assessment and we can tell you within 24 hours how if this program
is right for your practice
Q. Why should I use Body Mechaniques, Inc.'s Physician Services
instead of just hiring a physical or occupational therapist on my
own?
A. Good question. First, if it were
simply a matter of hiring a therapist to provide rehab, then we
wouldn't be in business. The reality is rehab would be a specialized
division of your existing practice, requiring qualified and efficient
therapists who are well versed in the workings of the managed care
system. At Body Mechaniques, we provide the necessary rehab staff,
as well as business office support to help monitor insurance billing
and collections to ensure the successful rehab branch of your practice.
It's a turn-key program. So it all comes to you with little or no
effort on your part.
Q. Isn't it illegal in my state for physical and occupational
therapists to work for doctors?
A. Unfortunately that is the case
in some states and more and more states are moving in that direction.
But the beauty of the Body Mechaniques program is that the care
is provided under a contract with Body Mechaniques. Call us to find
out if this is true in your state. If this is the case, the physical
and occupational therapy staff can work for us, not for you, so
the program meets all the requirements of your state and STARK II
as well.
Q. My staff has never billed for physical or occupational therapy
modalities, won't it put a lot of stress on them learning the codes?
A. Not at all. Our staff will train
your staff so that they know everything they need to know about
billing for PT and OT services. That way you'll never have to worry
about over or under-billing.
Q. I thought of opening up my own rehab clinic once but the costs
were prohibitive. So how much is this program going to cost me?
A. Another very good question. The
actual cost of the program varies from practice to practice. However,
you will find that the cost is a fraction of what you might expect.
In fact, many of our clients are operating in the black within 90
days. For more details call us toll-free at 888-264-9446 or request
a no-obligation practice assessment.
Q. How long does it take to get your program up and running
in my office?
A. Not very long. Most practices
are up and running in 30 to 60 days. The usual determining factor
is getting your practice credentialed for insurance reimbursement.
Once that is done you can be off and running. But we walk you through
all the requirements and help you with the paperwork, so the whole
process is kept to a minimum. For more details call us toll-free
at 888-264-9446.
Q. Does Body Mechaniques' program comply with the Stark Laws?
A. In one word - Yes! We have been
extremely careful to develop a program that is in compliance with
all Stark Laws. And as an added precaution we review every contract
with our healthcare attorney to determine the necessary legalities.
For more complete information call us at 888-264-9446.
Q. Can I bring all of my therapy referrals in-house?
A. Unfortunately, no. Since
some insurance companies have exclusive relationships with certain
rehab providers nationwide, you will never be able to capture all
your referrals. However, it is safe to say that the vast majority
of your payor mix may be captured, once the necessary credentialing
is obtained. For a better idea of what portion of your referrals
can be brought in-house, request a no-obligation practice assessment,
and we can tell you within 24 hours. These are just a few of the
questions that potential clients have asked. And you probably have
more of your own. We'd love to give you the answers so that you
can see for yourself how beneficial bringing your PT and OT care
in-house can be. So please give a call at 888-264-9446 and let us
answer all your questions. (Or if you prefer click
